Hello I’m Bailee

Hello 👋🏻 I’m Bailee, the founder of House Rupert Interior Design Studio. Here’s a quick summary of my journey thus far…

Before launching House Rupert, I spent 15 years living in London, traveling extensively for a successful modeling and acting career, and later for my award-winning food blog. When Covid hit, my husband and I moved our three small boys back to my hometown of Santa Barbara, CA. Away from our London network and struggling with my new role as a stay-at-home mom, I began searching for my next chapter.

A simple coffee with a friend, who works for a world-famous design firm, changed everything. As she described her upcoming projects, I knew.

If I could go back to my 18-year-old self and give her one bit of advice, it would be to study architecture over politics! I have been passionate about design and architecture from a very young age, constantly redesigning my own spaces and being in awe of buildings that evoked a sense of wonder in me.

I signed up for Interior Design 101, gained experience in the field, graduated with a design degree, and, like many things in life when you’re on the right path, things just fall into place.

I’m passionate about creating residential and boutique commercial interiors that embody quiet luxury.

At House Rupert, we blend European sensibility with Californian cool, always emphasizing beauty, functionality, and sustainability. Our clients range from wineries and entrepreneurs to entertainers and discerning homeowners who seek refined yet livable spaces. Their loyalty and repeat business mean the world to me and are a testament to the care and service we provide.

Now, I’m based in beautiful Montecito, CA, where I live with my husband and our three young boys. When I’m not designing, you’ll find me enjoying Santa Barbara’s outdoor lifestyle with family and friends, often with a glass of wine in hand. 🍷
